軍火商是個一旦以下條件全部滿足就會出現的 NPC：

有一間空房屋。
玩家在其物品欄中至少有一個子彈或發射子彈的槍（存放在寶箱之類收納物品中的槍不算）。

如果軍火商被殺，他只會在以上條件再次滿足時才會重生。

在 Desktop version, Console version, Mobile version, Nintendo Switch version, and tModLoader version中，當受到敵怪的威脅時，軍火商會用燧發槍來自衛。一旦困難模式開始，他會升級為用迷你鯊來自衛。他在困難模式之前中會造成 24 / 36 / 42（困難模式中降低至 15 / 22 / 26 傷害，但提高了開火頻率來補償），並且（在 Desktop version, Console version, Mobile version, and Nintendo Switch version上）隨着玩家的進程推進，他會得到各種屬性提升。^[1]

小貼士[ | ]

要獲取有效的槍最簡單的辦法是砸掉在腐化之地或猩紅之地中的暗影珠或猩紅之心。在第一次這麼幹時總是會相應地掉落火槍或奪命槍。
- 火槍和奪命槍也分別能在腐化匣和猩紅匣中找到。
其他合格的早期槍包括：
- 三發獵槍（來自叢林匣和常春藤箱）
- 萊德（來自禮物）。
信號槍及其照明彈不符合條件。
你還可以從派對女孩處得到子彈。舉行派對時購買豬龍彩罐，其中掉下的子彈就足夠了。

骷髏王已被打敗、但血肉牆尚未被打敗、且嚮導在場：

花絮[ | ]

名字 Brimst 可能參考了 brimstone（硫磺），它是火藥的成分之一。
他似乎對護士和樹妖都有好感。這可以從他關於與護士約會的話和樹妖關於他對其調情的話之中看出。他還挑逗機械師，根據她的話語中提到的「壓力板」。但是他似乎對護士更有興趣。
- 他在萬聖節出售的是護士的衣服而非自己的，這進一步證明了他對護士的興趣。（雖然技術層面上，護士沒有商店界面所以沒法出售任何東西）。
